An introductory course to learn the techniques and materials used in the world of vertical concrete. Learn how to reproduce stone, rock, brick & wood effect and how to create amazing wall features in this increasingly popular industry.
This course shows you how to create artificial rock with its various uses in interior and exterior decoration, landscaping and water features.
You will learn how about structure coats, carve coats, texturing tools and techniques, carving and colouring methods.
Students who take this course will be able to offer a unique service to potential clients.
Artificial rock can be used to create amazing features within gardens and homes in this increasingly popular industry.
No previous experience necessary.
Course Content
Day 1 – Theory and Practical
Tools, material and techniques
Building armatures and applying structure coat
Day 2 and 3 – Practical
Mixing and application of mortar
Creating textures using various tools and stamps
Waterproofing
Carving techniques using various tools.
How to use stains and paints to replicate the natural appearance of rock
