Ngyuwe Expedition Design

At Unreal Productions, we were proud to contribute to the innovative Ngyuwe development at ZooParc Overloon in the Netherlands, delivering highly realistic, handcrafted theming for multiple specialist habitats. Our team designed and installed bespoke imitation mud walls for both the pygmy hippo and drill enclosures, carefully replicating the texture, colour, and natural weathering of authentic African environments. Using advanced scenic fabrication techniques, we ensured each surface not only achieved visual authenticity but also met the durability and safety requirements of a modern zoological setting. This project highlights our expertise in immersive zoo theming, habitat design, and artificial environment creation for wildlife attractions across Europe.

In addition to the habitat walls, Unreal Productions also created a fully artificial rock nocturnal species cave, engineered to provide both functional shelter and a visually striking visitor experience. The cave was sculpted with intricate geological detailing to mimic natural rock formations while accommodating controlled lighting conditions essential for nocturnal animals. As part of the Ngyuwe development, this installation demonstrates our ability to combine creative design with technical precision, delivering engaging, educational environments that enhance animal welfare and visitor immersion.
