Northumberland Zoo

We were commissioned to design and construct bespoke on-show dens for the snow leopards at Northumberland Zoo, delivering a visually striking and functional habitat that enhances both animal welfare and visitor experience. At Unreal Productions, we specialise in creating immersive artificial environments, and this project showcased our expertise in sculpted rockwork and themed habitat design. The enclosure features hand-crafted artificial rock formations, carefully engineered ledges, and varied elevations to encourage natural climbing, resting, and play behaviours for the snow leopards.

Using durable materials and realistic texturing techniques, we created a safe, enriching environment that replicates the rugged mountainous terrain these animals naturally inhabit. The design balances aesthetics with practicality, ensuring longevity, ease of maintenance, and optimal animal engagement.
