The process begins with the construction of a steel armature which defines the overall structure and form of the rock formation. Steel mesh is then attached to create a framework that supports the sculpted surface.

A structural coating of glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) is applied to create a durable shell. Once cured, the surface is carved and sculpted to develop the natural textures and geological patterns found in real stone.
